**Responsibilities**:
- Contribute to the authoring of exam questions, production of exam papers, and creation of marking keys
- Mark open response answer components of WSET Level 3 qualifications
- Prepare and maintain marking and verification files, data, and records for all WSET Level 3 scripts
- Verify external marking of WSET Level 3 open response and tasting papers to ensure marking exemplifies good practice and is fair, reliable, and consistent
- Make recommendations for adjustment where appropriate to maintain parity of marking standards across Approved Programme Providers and individual examiners
- Provide feedback to WSET Level 3 Internal Assessors and examiners on the effectiveness of their assessing and make recommendations on how they might be further improved
- Assist in the training of Internal Assessors and continuous development of external markers
- Support the development of the WSET’s transition to digital assessment
- Contribute to quality assurance procedures by operating and maintaining the appropriate ISO documentation and participating in the internal ISO audit scheme
- Contributing to the Trust by undertaking other various tasks as required

**Skills and Competencies**
**Essential Criteria**
- Expertise in wines - WSET Level 4 Diploma, or equivalent, required
- High levels of personal and professional integrity to work with confidential information
- Sound planner who anticipates potential issues, prioritises task well, and who can manage varied workloads to tight deadlines
- Able to work independently and communicate individual needs effectively
- Committed to the highest standards and has meticulous attention to detail
- Numerate and able to work with and interpret complex datasets
- Embraces giving individual feedback and is experienced at offering constructive advice
**Desirable Criteria**
- Expertise in spirits and/or sake - WSET Level 3, or equivalent, strongly desired
- Fluency in foreign languages
- Track record of working with high-quality qualifications and assessments
- Experience of working effectively in a zero-error/continuous improvement environment
