**About the role**
Balfour Beatty are currently looking for a **Resource Assistant** to join our Rail team based in **Crewe**

Within this role you'll assist the Resource Manager in allocation of resources to enable the efficient and full delivery of CRSA work-bank to the agreed target costs

**What you'll be doing**
As a **Resource Assistant**, you will assist the Resource Manager in:

- Setting up and maintaining centralised rosters as instructed for CRSA West Depot including Track, Signalling, Electrification and Welding staff
- Placement of lookaheads, allocation of requirements and orders to Labour suppliers
- Ensure staff are allocated to the right place at the right time, appropriate to the task
- Monitor performance of Labour Suppliers and lead improvements required
- Attend resource meetings
- Review timesheets, checking time worked, allowances and claims
- Co-ordinate staff release to meet training requirements

**Who we're looking for**
The following qualities/experience are essential:

- Financial and commercial awareness
- Understanding of contract requirements
- Awareness of procurement process
- Effective control of core/sub-contract labour
- Effective management of subcontractor Plant
- Health, safety, and environmental awareness
- Understanding of staff competency requirements

Important skills:

- Computer literacy
- Track knowledge

The following qualities/experience are Desirable:

- BTEC HNC/HND Level in Engineering or Business Discipline or Industry Experience is desirable.
