Responsibilities
- Post accurately and promptly all rent receipts and payments of other charges onto adhering to departmental procedures.
- Maintain and update Housing Benefit notifications to ensure receipts are allocated correctly.
- Reconcile and review suspense accounts and take appropriate action leading to allocating payments to clients' accounts
- Process Direct Debit payments as required.
- Spot check and process rent and payment adjustments to accounts ensuring appropriate authorisations have been obtained
- Check and process client refund requests ensuring appropriate authorisations have been obtained
- Download and save banking data to enable correct allocation of payments
- Provide information relating to rents or service charge payments to any stakeholder
- Ensure any unresolved matters are escalated to the Supervisor

Required Experience:

- Experience with Income processing
- A Finance professional with experience of processing high volumes and values
- Experience of or ability to work within financial environment of a fast-paced organisation
- Experience of working with large volumes of financial transactions
- Experience of collecting and providing information
- Experience of delivering a customer focused service

Knowledge:

- Adequate knowledge and understanding of financial processes, preferably within a housing environment
- Understanding of the principles of double entry bookkeeping is beneficial
