We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Specialist CAMHS (CBT) practitioner training and progression role in the Adolescent tam in Ealing CAMHS through our innovative and comprehensive training programme which includes formal teaching, experiential learning and supervision.

The successful applicant will join the Ealing CAMHS Adolescent Team based at Ealing CAMHS, 1 Armstrong Way, Southall UB2 4SA.

The Adolescent Team is part of the Specialist Ealing CAMH Service, which also includes a neurodevelopmental team, learning disability team and child and family team. The Service also links to a comprehensive Community CAMH Service, CAMHS Crisis Care Team (ALLIANCE) and a CAMHS Eating Disorder Service. The post holder will be part of a growing team of multidisciplinary clinicians who have a special interest and expertise in working with children, and young people, who are presenting with complex mental health needs.

The team is committed to providing services that are accessible to everyone, and it prides itself on its creative and innovative ways of delivering high quality evidence based care for children, young people and families referred to the service.

With supervision and support the successful applicant will provide assessment and therapeutic interventions to young people referred to the team and their families and/or carers. The role will include providing outreach work to patients who may find it hard to attend clinics.

The successful applicant will also have the opportunity to participate in the monthly CPD programme and reflective space as well as contribute to service development, audit, research and quality improvement projects.

Ealing CAMHS is a borough-located service, and operates as part of a wider three-borough CAMHS service, including Hounslow and Hammersmith and Fulham, within West London NHS Trust.

The Trust is committed to developing excellent services and the post holder will be part of a team excited by, and striving for, optimal recovery outcomes for each individual who uses our services.

More so, West London CAMHS is committed to supporting the development and progression of its staff. In addition to receiving regular supervision, all staff have access to training and development opportunities in line with their agreed development needs.

Our staff are currently providing a combination of face to face clinical contact as well as clinical contact via virtual platforms, resulting in a combination of onsite and remote working.

We are very pleased to have created a new role at West London CAMHS for Specialist CAMHS (CBT) Practitioner. As part of ongoing investment and service expansion, this new role is anticipated to increase access to CBT for children, young people and their families/carers within the service.

You will be delivering evidence based CBT interventions within the context of the multidisciplinary team, and will access the CAMHS development program in order to develop competencies required to take on general CAMHS assessments, risk assessment and management, and support the team with duty.

Fulfilment of these relevant competencies on the CAMHS Practice Development Program will be the requirement to progress to band 7.
