We're currently hiring for an **HR Specialist** on a Permanent basis to join our UK-based Informa Connect divisional HR team.

The position will work closely with the HR Business Partner and support the central support teams and wider divisional HR initiatives, tasks and projects, as needed.

With a keen eye for detail, this colleague will be a central administrator who enjoys diving into data to help cleanse, manage and interpret monthly headcount reports. They will also have a good understanding of UK employment law (US would be advantageous). This would include but not limited to performance management, employee relations and policy advice.

The HR Specialist will need to collaborate with Centre of Excellence (COE) teams including reward, benefits, talent acquisition and HR Shared Services to deliver the services within the scope of their role. They should feel a strong sense of ownership of their responsibilities and recognize the impactful role they play within the wider team.

**Administration (60%)**
- Monthly review of headcount data - spotting any errors and making corrections. Working closely with the finance business partner(s) to ensure alignment with TM1 (finance system) and HR Shared Services.
- Prepare change forms for system updates outside of the automated process.
- Prepare leaver forms to support offboarding of colleagues and ensure exit interviews are scheduled with the Colleague Experience Manager.
- Identifies opportunities to update data in systems based on changes within the business and ensures they are completed through leveraging the HRSSO team.
- Provide support on data analysis for HR related matters and ensures data integrity for business populations.
- Lead on data collection and review for due-diligence processes working closely with the HRBP to support M&A activity.
- In charge of drilling down into reports, and developing reports, to provide stakeholders and HRBP team high-level overviews as needed (engagement, retention, headcount, regional, etc.).
- Support annual activities to verify bonus eligibility and annual salary review.
- Manage the internal performance system, called MyTalent, by being the HR point person to pull reports, working closely with the Learning and Performance team.
- Develops organizational charts as needed across the division.
- Develops “how to” guides to capture in a central repository for the broader team and to ensure consistency of processes and documentation.
- Proactively addresses queries from stakeholders relating to data and reporting, seeing through to resolution, and escalating to the HRBP where appropriate.
- Coordinate sessions and scheduling to help support HR initiatives and actions on behalf of the HRBP.
- Capture data sets during HR activities, sessions and focus groups.

**General People Practice & Compliance (40%)**
- Maintains current knowledge of trends, practices and applicable state and federal laws/employment law and regulations, essential to professional practice of human resources and organization development.
- Ensures business compliance within the legal labor and employment environment.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all colleague questions and day-to-day assistance, partnering with HR Shared Service team and other COEs as needed.
- Advise managers on the terms and conditions of employment and share best practices.
- Support HR policy and procedures to drive a high-performance culture and mitigate risk through a consistent approach (carry out new starter inductions 90-day plans, rewards philosophy, etc.).
- Work closely with the HR Shared Services team to ensure that high-quality customer support is provided to all colleagues.
- Promote a culture of self-service for colleagues and managers where appropriate.
- Support change management processes.
- Conduct weekly ‘stay interviews’ with colleagues to provide insight for HRBP on key themes.
- Support managers with performance management, including documenting and communicating performance feedback and the performance improvement process when needed.
