**Quality Assurance Officer**

Food Business/permanent/office based

9 am to 5pm

Borehamwood

£25,000 - £30,000 DOE

**Specific duties and responsibilities**
- _Management of Quality documents _
- Control the timely review of internal documentation
- Update supplier certificates [E.g. BRC, HALAL];
- Products specification updated [Keeping control of products purchases];
- Fill in customers questionnaires - SAQ [manage time for reply];
- Maintain client's technical web platforms update;
- _Keep the Quality Control Program_
- Liaise with the commercial and logistic team to have comprehensive information in case of any customer complaints and incidents reported;
- Mediate with the suppliers and 3rd party subcontractors any standard procedure required [E.g. Loading methodology / QA checks on intake / Temperature monitor during transport];
- Conduct audits of company policies to ensure compliance.
- Generate routine quality reports;
- Raise Non-Conformance reports internally or to 3rd party subcontractors and ensure corrective actions are followed up and completed.
- _Customer complaints and supply chain incidents _
- Monitor the correct registration of customer complaints and supply chain incidents for proper investigation and trend analysis;
- Follow up with the supplier and 3rd party subcontractors as applicable, sending them all the evidence required for root cause investigation and formal response;
- Visit customers and warehouses for product assessment as required.
- _Organise laboratory and sensorial analyses surveys_
- Liaising internally and with the warehouse and laboratory to send the samples for testing;
- Organise samples for sensory analyses.
- Logging all assessment results in the database.
- Assist with the training of employees on new procedures and systems developed.
- Deputise for the Technical Manager as and when required.

**Qualifications and skills**

DESIRABLE
- Basic knowledge of the Food Industry regarding Quality, Safety and Legality.
- Systems knowledge, including BRC, HACCP, internal auditing, as well as current food legislation.
- QA and food manufacturing background.
- Microsoft package skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, be well organised.
- Communication skills. Should have the ability to engage with stakeholders within different levels of the organisation and external stakeholders and suppliers.

DIFERENCIAL
- Other languages: Portuguese.
Proven practical experience working with quality in the food industry.
