**VHL Lecturer in Performing Arts**

**Variable hours available**

**Salary: £15.58 - £22.59 per hour = holiday pay (Dependant on skills, qualifications & experience)**

**About the role**

The role will require you to deliver sessions to whole classes and/or small groups during short
- and medium-term absences of the timetabled class lecturer. You will ensure students on our Performing and Production Arts offerings carry out the curriculum tasks set by the absent lecturer, assisting them to understand the nature of the work set, managing student behaviour and minimising the impact of the lecturer’s absence on their learning. You will need to be agile and flexible in your delivery, adapting your practice to suit a range of different learners.

Please note this is a** **Further Education role.

Enabling learners to maximise their potential, you will ensure your resource materials and teaching reflect best practice contributing to the quality of provision as measured by retention, attendance, success rates, progression, final grades, and value added. You will be an active team player working with colleagues to ensure the highest standards are maintained.
