Job Duties:
We have an exciting vacancy for a Children’s Practitioner with experience of working with families and young people, to support the work of our Fostering team.

You will be involved in supporting allocated social workers in appropriate interventions, liaison with partner agencies, working with foster carers and Children Looked After using the ARC model to maintain placements. To this end your working week may involvesome evening work.

The role is interesting and varied with no two days being the same. You will therefore need to be highly motivated and able to work on your own initiative.

Your role will include:

- Direct work with children and foster carers.
- Supporting ARC fostering support with consultations, trauma lines and direct work.
- ARC champion, supporting with the delivery of training to foster carers and staff.
- Delivery of therapeutic life story work once training has been completed.
- Supporting foster carers with placement stability.
- Supporting schools with a therapeutic lens.
- Support the South Fostering team with additional tasks as required.
- Support groups
- Supporting the duty system

Whilst this is not a qualifies post, we required the individual to have experience of working with children in care. Full ARC training will be provided. The individual will need an interest in delivery of training and therapeutic work and the systems thatsupport carers and children.

Full driving licence and access to a car is essential, full training will be provided to support thinking using the ARC Framework model.
