**PURPOSE**
Our Stakeholder Communications team brings together strategic thinkers and industry experts with extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of corporate and sustainability communications. We use our expertise to advise clients, working closely with them to understand their business challenges, develop impactful solutions that help them stand out from the crowd and deliver memorable communications and reporting that resonate with diverse stakeholder audiences. Through collaboration and analysis we also keep up-to-date with best practice, the latest developments in disclosure and share our insights and guidance with clients and colleagues.
The role of Consultant is three-fold:
- **Client support** - Emperor prides itself on its client service and it is a key reason why clients choose to work with us. You will provide expert advice and support to clients to help them identify appropriate content, metrics and case studies that demonstrate their approach to strategy and performance, sustainability and governance, and provide creative and pragmatic ideas to help them communicate in a clear, credible and engaging way.
- **Business development** - to help present Emperor’s stakeholder communications offer to existing clients and demonstrate the value of developing an impactful communications framework and plan, beyond simply disclosing or reporting data and information. To help pitch for and win new business that meet Emperor’s ambitious growth plans.
- **Research and thought leadership** - continuously scanning best practice to keep ahead of current and emerging trends and issues, regulations, market practices and standards. Identifying the implications for clients and providing insights across a range of sectors. You will contribute to Emperor’s thought leadership programme, leading and collating research and sharing your findings through events, publications and articles for Emperor’s website.
**Skills and experience**
- 2-3 years’ experience in a corporate communications, IR or sustainability communications role
- Experience working in annual and sustainability reporting
- Knowledge of the corporate and sustainability communications landscape, including trends, regulation and best practice
- A strategic thinker, able to provide strategic advice and support with the credibility and gravitas to quickly win the respect of colleagues and clients
- Strong problem understanding and solving skills, particularly relating to the articulation of strategic approaches and successfully delivering impactful communications
- Ability to quickly grasp key client information including business model and strategy, product and service offering, and understand issues relating to products, technologies, primary competition and general issues facing the industry
- Financially literate and an appreciation of how to present financial information to stakeholders
- Comfortable presenting face-to-face to groups of people
- Able to successfully manage multiple, concurrent project demands and meet deadlines
- Familiar with research and reporting tools
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, the ability to communicate complex information in a simple way, and deliver interesting, insights-led and well-articulated presentations for clients, prospects and colleagues
- The ability to concept, write and edit effective content to communicate client stories
