We are looking for a dedicated and dynamic individual to join our ambitious built environment offer which sits within our Public Affairs and Policy team, specifically focused on delivering for our transport, infrastructure, developer and landowner clients.

This job provides the opportunity for individuals with planning and development communications and engagement experience to advise some of the UK’s biggest built environment brands and work on some of the most exciting and complex challenges facing the sector.

You’ll also be called upon to advise clients who might not typically interact with UK built environment landscape, such as international investors.

As the role sits within the wider Public Affairs and Policy team, you will also have the opportunity to work across our wider portfolio of work and on our broader political thought leadership.

**The role**:

- You will be responsible for leading accounts: overseeing project and account management, providing support and advisory for your clients, spotting opportunities and threats, and contributing to the development of their communications and public affairs strategies.
- You will have an understanding of, and strong networks in, local and national politics and planning and development.
- You will have excellent project management and team management skills, with experience of managing and nurturing junior talent and being a source of constructive feedback, ideas and experience.
- You will play a pivotal role in the team’s future growth through your contribution to our new business process, business planning, helping to identify prospective opportunities, and driving the development and delivery of pitches.

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years’ experience in an agency setting or similar.
- A proven track record in working with planning, infrastructure, local government and built environment clients.
- Extensive experience in developing new business leads and pitching.
- Training and developing junior members of staff.
- Knowledge of, and interest in, the UK political landscape, including local and regional.
- An understanding of infrastructure investment, government spending, devolution and the levelling up agenda.
- Experience of working in local or regional government or organisations desirable.
