**Head of Mathematics Outreach**

Lancaster University School of Mathematics aims to be a centre of excellence for the teaching and learning of mathematics, and to provide opportunities for students with an interest and aptitude for mathematics, especially to those from backgrounds currently under-represented in the mathematical sciences. The school benefits from the first bespoke-built mathematics school building in the country, and hence there are first-class facilities available to use and promote our mission. We aim to work with students and teachers in other schools to promote deeper understanding and greater enjoyment of mathematics as well as higher attainment in qualifications, leading to greater participation in mathematics at advanced levels.

We are looking to appoint a dynamic and inspirational teacher, leader and manager who will take accountability for the development and delivery of all outreach projects. This middle leadership post is an opportunity for a knowledgeable and passionate educationalist who has experience of working in a school to take on a broad-ranging role which has the potential for significant impact on young people with an enthusiasm for mathematics.

**Hours**:Full or part time - minimum of 0.6fte

**Salary**: Paid on the Sixth Form College’s Salary Structure pro rata to £30,500 to £47,133 per annum (dependent upon experience). Plus a responsibility allowance pro rata, from £5,162 to £8,392 per annum.
