Digital Print Planner

**My Mission**:
Oversee the full Print process, establishing and maintaining robust processes to ensure the optimal delivery of successful Print operations. Effectively managing related stocks and assets to ensure the best commercial outcome within the service levels required.
**Key areas of my role**:
- Manage print requirements to budget, by running fillable reports daily to capture demand.
- Liaise with Design, Sales, Warehouse & External print press provider to ensure timely delivery to customer.

- Production:_
- Receive and process digital files through AVA software.
- Set up and operate digital transfer print machines to produce high quality prints; for supply supply to external print press provider
- Assist with Operator training and technical support as required.
- Load & unload materials onto printing equipment & adjust parameters for optimal results
- Ensure appropriate routine machine maintenance & perform minor repairs on digital printing machines
- Coordinate with RA Smarts for major repairs and parts.
- Produce Print SSOW’s, Specs, Procedures, training documents et al. for all standard operations.
- Planning:_
- Maintain a rolling log of jobs in hand & related costs via HP OS, keeping order book updated and live.
- Running BO fillable report daily
- Communicate weekly order requirements to PWGF every Friday afternoon, relaying any urgent requirements immediately to PWGF Ops Manager & General Manager
- Liaise with PWGF Ops Manager to agree staffing requirements weekly.
- Supply Chain_
- Forecasting and stock management for Print portfolio, including PFP cloth, inks, substrates and all consumables (inc PWGF)
- Set up and maintain min/max paper stock levels. Re-scheduling orders with suppliers and communicating these with internal departments
- Ensure proper storage & organisation of materials to prevent damage.
- Minimise ‘out of stocks’
- Placing bulk orders with suppliers and issuing regular call-offs
- Management of stock take process with external suppliers
- Manage and monitor the movement of stocks between suppliers and ensure sufficient stocks are available to meet forecast demands
- Expediting orders with suppliers
- Ensure monthly budget spend is adhered to in all currencies
- Ensure PO dates are accurate on the Mertex system
- Collaborate with Designers to ensure files are fit for printing
- Following up production with the supplier and arranging the shipment of goods to meet the Critical path deadlines
- Liaise with Print press providers to ensure timely delivery and return of stock within specification
- Liaise with the Fabric Technologist & Design ref product specifications, bulk submit & lab dip approvals.
- Complete appropriate print quality tests and establish appropriate controls at all stages of the production process.
- Raise any quality issues with the required stakeholder, developing and implementing appropriate corrective actions and ensure full communication to all affected.
- Collaborate with suppliers to effectively resolve quality issues
- Communicate packing specifications to suppliers
- Raise and resolve claims with relevant suppliers and issue debit notes accordingly
- Assess & provide accurate costings for all print jobs
- Contribute to effective accounting process through raising purchase orders and debit notes as required
- Import Duty/Freight calculations ensuring the costs are accurate on the system
- Obtain costs for any airfreight shipments and obtain the relevant authorisation
25 days holiday + bank holidays and service days.
Dress down Fridays
Salary commensurate with experience.
Monday to Friday 8:45 - 17:15 with rota'd Friday early finish.
