**Location**:This role is based in our Edinburgh offices with time spent working in the office and at home.

**Salary and benefits**:£60k - £70k depending on experience plus 16% bonus up to 32%, private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, excellent pension, 12x salary life assurance, career breaks, income protection, 3x volunteering days and much more

**The role**

This role supports our iconic Standard Life brand and is at the forefront of delivering on our ambitious plans. It’s in the creative department that sits within the in-house marketing agency, reporting directly to the Head of Marketing Agency.

Excitingly, we’re building out our in-house creative capability and so we’re looking for a talented Creative Lead. You’ll be leading a team of designers and copywriters to develop concepts that express our customer-focussed messages. We need your expertise to turn strategic ideas into creative that both enhances what people feel about our brand and inspires them to take immediate action.

As a manager you’ll be nurturing and building talent and helping us set the tone for what good communications and advertising looks like.

Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualisation and dramatisation of creative propositions
- End-to-end oversight and development of design, copy and production approaches for large campaigns and projects
- Oversee the visual aspects of all multimedia production, including photoshoots, video content, radio, TV, podcasts and experiential and content marketing
- Producing witty, beautiful, hard-working designs on both generous and tight budgets
- Working across multiple audiences from B2B, B2B2C and D2C and centring human experience in concepts and designs
- Oversight of the creation and production of all communications, holding us to the highest standards of creativity
- Having a voice in our continual exploration of how we define and demonstrate creativity
- Being passionate about communications, advertising and modern design techniques, bringing the outside in to motivate and inspire the team
- Keeping a keen eye on technological solutions to make us ever-more efficient and effective
- Helping present work to the wider team, business and Group

**What are we looking for?**
- Proven experience as a creative leader. We welcome backgrounds in design, art direction or copywriting
- A meticulous eye for detail and high quality design and copy output
- Proven experience leading a team to success
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Demonstration of creativity even (especially) within the confines of a regulated and technical industry
- A solid understanding of how to drive-response through smart design
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, positioning yourself as a go-to for creative thinking and output
- Experienced in developing strong relationships at multiple levels of an organisation and across partner agencies/suppliers
- Honed presentation skills, able to excite people and bring your vision to life
- If design background, highly proficient across the typical Adobe packages including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and XD
- Motion graphics skills (proficiency in Premiere and/or AfterEffects) would be a bonus
