Trainee Estimator - Hospitality fit out
We have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Estimator to join A Successful design and build company.
Due to continual growth of the business our client is looking to recruit a talented Trainee Estimator who is looking for their first step in their career of becoming an Estimator. The ideal Trainee Estimator will have studied in a relevant field or be currentlyin a construction role looking for a new challenge. Our client is an independent specialist in design and fit out providing bar, restaurant and kitchen design / refurbishment. They have a vast amount of experience and an impressive portfolio of projects acrossthe country working with some leading brands.
Working within our clients estimating team the Trainee Estimator will be expected to:

- Assist in the Preparation of cost budgets and cost estimates for new contracts
- Assist to Keep existing contracts up to date, including making amendments, providing new cost estimates, and maintaining communication with the client
- Work alongside Senior Estimators to adhere to company standards and guidelines when analysing and providing estimations; focus on maximising profit and customer satisfaction, while minimising any potential risks to the company
- Maintain relationships with existing clients keeping a sales-minded attitude, and seek out and build relationships with new clients
- Work with contracts manager and design team to help with development, innovation, and creativity on client projects
- Keep detailed records of all estimation documentation, including site assessments and contract terms; update any existing contracts immediately upon agreement of new terms with client
- Prepare and submit financial documents
- Balance multiple proposals and estimations at once, ensuring each reaches the client by
- Liaise with other company departments to maintain business development and continuously innovate new profitable outcomes
Skills and Experience required:

- Degree or relevant education within a similar field
- A construction background would be an advantage
- A willingness to learn
- Ability to work with your own Initiative
- Ability to Manage Workloads within tight deadlines
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Strong Maths Skills
- Ability to visit client sites across the UK as needed
- Excellent knowledge of excel
