Production Line Lead

**PRODUCTION LINE LEAD**
We are looking to recruit a production line lead to lead teams of Operatives, on specific production lines. This role must ensure lines run efficiently, materials and resources are fully utilised, and that products are manufactured to the required standards and specifications.
38 hours per week | Alternating 6am-2pm Mon-Thu, 6am-12pm Fri and 2pm-10pm Mon-Thu,12pm-6pm Fri| PRODUCTION / BALLIOL BUSINESS PARK

**The key duties and responsibilities of this role are to**:
- Ensure correct set up of production lines, in terms of people, materials and speciation
- Ensure changeovers are efficient and run smoothly
- Monitoring efficiency, H&S, food safety and quality measures, reducing waste and minimising downtime where possible
- Use best endeavours to optimise line performance
- Engaging in improvement initiatives, escalating issues and suggesting solutions for continuous improvement
- Accurately reporting key performance indicators, identifying trends and analysing the data
- Ensure all H&S policies and procedures are adhered to. Record incidents, conduct risk assessments and investigations, ensure corrective and preventative actions are put in place
- Help ensure compliance with mandatory training. Identify training opportunities and deliver training for employees, on all relevant procedures and systems
- Coach and mentor employees in their day to day duties, as well as training and advising new starters and agency workers
- Maintain regular briefings and update employees on relevant communications
- Accurately complete relevant logs and documentation
- Provide assistance to Production managers with projects and contribute to new initiatives
- Any other, relevant ad hoc duties
**The key skills for this role are**:
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Previous experience as a Production Operative
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Accuracy and organisation, ability to prioritise effectively
- Proactive and solution-orientated
