We are looking to appoint a calm, accurate and effective administration assistant at The Royal School.

**Main Purpose of the Role**:
To provide administration support to the Vice Principal -Safeguarding, Wellbeing and Personal Development with a particular focus on support for the administration of all matters associated with LAC.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**LAC**
- To prepare PEP meetings, supporting the designated teacher
- To attend LAC and PEP meetings
- To take minutes and distribute in a timely manner to all relevant parties
- To gather information about the child/young person’s progress and care including health care.
- To support the designated teacher to ensure that the overall care plan for the child remains appropriate, and is achievable within a reasonable timescale
- To ensure that the staff know the pupils needs throughout their academic journey
- To support the designated teacher to discuss information and to amend plans accordingly.
- To provide alternative provision/next educational facility with relevant LAC and PEP paperwork.
- To arrange and set up meetings with parents and external agencies where appropriate
- To produce reports, and input data onto spreadsheets
- To ensure databases are maintained relating to LAC and pupils eligible for pupil premium
- To work with the Finance Department to ensure that Disadvantaged income is claimed, received and accounted for
- To work with the Data Manager to ensure that all records are correct for LAC and PLAC
- To keep all LAC records securely, separate from the main pupil file, and in locked locations, following GDPR Regulations
- To provide feedback on all matters related to LAC to the Vice Principal, Safeguarding, Wellbeing and Personal Development on a regular basis

**Pastoral**
- To support the pastoral/LAC team with administration tasks required to support the wellbeing of the children and young people at The Royal School
- To provide general administrative support for the Vice Principal - Safeguarding, Wellbeing and Personal Development
- To comply with the Schools policies and procedures in respect of: (1) safeguarding, (2) health, safety and security, (3) confidentiality and (4) data protection;
**General**
- To provide general administration support when required
- To model and maintain high standards of conduct and behaviour expected of all students
- To model exemplary conduct, encouraging all adults and students to act positively and respect themselves, each other, the wider community and their environment
- To promote team spirit as well as acting together and supporting each other to ensure a calm and purposeful school
- To follow health & safety regulations as provided in the school risk assessment.

**Person Specification Qualifications**
- Good general standard of education, preferably to at least NVQ3 or equivalent

**Specific Skills, Experience and Knowledge**
- Awareness and understanding of Health and Safety regulations
- Strong IT Skills, competent in use of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook
- Knowledge of Safeguarding children and young people and Child Protection
- Experience of working with confidential information
- Strong knowledge in use of MIS systems, preferably SIMS

- Enthusiasm and approachability - able to put visitors at ease, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Superb organisational skills with a meticulous eye for detail
- Able to prioritise and work methodically; calm under pressure, with no loss of accuracy

- Capable of independent thought and willing to accept responsibility, but also a good team player willing to consult, seek advice and accept direction when appropriate and learn positively from experience
- Intuitive, resourceful and discreet

- Commitment to regular training and continued professional development.

**Salary**: £10.42-£11.78 per hour
