Material Controller

The role is integral within the Shared Services Value Stream (Goods In/Out, Stores, Ply Cutting, Inspection) and is intended to primarily manage the Time and Temperature Sensitive (TATS) materials and their movements within the business. If you have experience in material/stock controlling within a manufacturing environment, this could be the ideal role for you.

**Principal responsibilities**:

- Inspection processing - Checking Certificates of Conformity against customer specifications and ensuring material suitability or raising issues where appropriate
- Material movement transactions - Undertake timely, accurate electronic transactions to transfer materials to the relevant locations within the system.
- Maximise material life - Operate "first in, first out" principles, monitoring remaining life on all materials and remove expired materials from the system.
- Ensure the storage of materials is organised, traceable and complies with relevant standards
- Issue materials within the ERP system to ensure full traceability and manage anomalies with respect to material quantities
- Undertake cycle counts to ensure accurate stock levels and where discrepancies occur, investigate as directed, bringing solutions forward to avoid further occurrences
- Physically remove items (rolls, kits) from the freezer (with assistance) and return or store them where required and as produced in the ply cutting department.

- Experience of manual handling
- Computer literate
- Excellent attention to detail
- Effective communicator
- Knowledge of stock handling (desirable)
- Previous counterbalance FLT experience/current licence (desirable)
- Experience within a manufacturing environment (desirable)

**When you are working**:
**4-day week** Monday to Thursday 07:15 am to 5:00 pm totalling 37 hours weekly.

Overtime is available from Friday to Sunday at premium rates of pay.
