Join our team as a Special Educational Needs Lunchtime Assistant at Anagh Coar Primary School
This role offers you the chance to **become an integral part of our very exciting school**, as we’re continually looking to make improvements for our children and families. Not only is this role **extremely rewarding and motivating**, it also allows you to support the development of pupils with complex needs over lunchtime.
A typical day in this role will involve **supporting children** before, during and after their midday meals. During this time children may require assistance eating and help with their use of cutlery. As well as this, you will also encourage interaction and appropriate play between pupils.
You will assist in the holistic care of the pupils and support their emotional wellbeing during this less structured time of the day.

**What skills and experience do I need?**
- There are **no formal qualifications or experience** required to be a Lunchtime Assistant.
- Good** **interpersonal and communication skills**, the** **ability to promote play** with children, and a **willingness to work as part of a great team** **are essential for this role.
**What can this role offer me?**

- Lunchtime Assistant work is a** **fantastic opportunity to gain experience working with children **within a school environment. Many of our Lunchtime Assistants have gone on to work in contracted roles as School Administrators, Education Support Officers or even Teachers

**Salary **information**
Please note the salary indicated above is for a full time staff member who works 37 hours per week, all year round, including school holidays. If this role is working term time (or term time plus a few weeks), your actual salary will be reduced pro rata to the contracted hours per week and number of weeks worked through the year. You will also receive payment for your annual leave and bank holidays, as leave is not permitted during term time. To ensure you receive a salary each month of the year, your pay is rolled up and divided into 12 equal monthly payments.
**Additional information**
Please note an enhanced with barring police check is required for this post, which the Department will cover the cost of for you. Please note if you have lived for more than 6 months outside of the UK in the last 5 years, you will be required to obtain a Letter of Good Standing from the appropriate authorities in the relevant locations, please read the guidance about how to obtain this letter.
A relocation package and interview expenses are not available for this role.
