Join our team as a Lunchtime Assistant at St Ninian's High School, working in a friendly environment helping to make a difference to young people’s lives every day
Within this role, you will supervise pupils throughout the lunchtime period around the school and will be part a team working together to make the school environment a positive and safe place for everyone.
Your day to day duties will include:
- Encouraging pupils to have respect for others, inspire them to be the best they can be and help empower them to take an active role in their own learning and futures.
- Supporting pupils to understand instructions
- Promoting inclusion and acceptance
- Dealing with incidents, providing first aid attention when required
- Encouraging pupils to interact with others and engage in activities

**What can this role offer me?**
Lunchtime Assistant work is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience working with children within a school environment. Many of our Lunchtime Assistants have gone on to work in contracted roles as School Administrators, Education Support Officers or even Teachers
This role offers school-friendly hours as its part-time, term-time only, fitting in around other work commitments or home life.
As a Government employee, you’ll also be able to benefit from the Activ8 scheme, which provides sporting opportunities in your local area by qualified coaches.
Free parking will be available to you at St Ninians High School.

**Salary **information**
Please note the salary indicated above is for a full time staff member who works 37 hours per week, all year round, including school holidays. If this role is working term time (or term time plus a few weeks), your actual salary will be reduced pro rata to the contracted hours per week and number of weeks worked through the year. You will also receive payment for your annual leave and bank holidays, as leave is not permitted during term time. To ensure you receive a salary each month of the year, your pay is rolled up and divided into 12 equal monthly payments.
**Additional information**
Please note an enhanced with barring police check is required for this post, which the Department will cover the cost of for you. Please note if you have lived for more than 6 months outside of the UK in the last 5 years, you will be required to obtain a Letter of Good Standing from the appropriate authorities in the relevant locations, please read the guidance about how to obtain this letter.
A relocation package and interview expenses are not available for this role.
