**Previous Experience**
- The applicant must have previous experience of working in a taxi office. You will need a a logical/level headed approach and good customer service and communication skills,.
- Willingness to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with flexibility for covering additional shifts during annual leave and sickness to ensure 24/7 coverage.
- Knowledge of the local area would be an advantage.

**This is an office-based role (CM77), and applicants must be located or residing in or near the Braintree area and have own transport due office location and variable hours**

**Responsibilities**
- Efficiently dispatch taxis to designated locations based on customer requests, taking into account driver availability, proximity, and estimated travel times.
- Strong verbal communication skills and an ability to remain calm and composed while handling customer enquiries or complaints.
- Maintain clear and concise communication with drivers and passengers to ensure timely and accurate pick-ups and drop-offs, resolving any potential issues or discrepancies.
- Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Provide information to callers and visitors regarding company products, services, and policies
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed

**Skills**
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal skills to interact with callers, visitors, and colleagues
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficient in using office equipment such as telephones, printers, computers.
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate message taking and information dissemination

**This position does not involve heavy lifting or delivery driver responsibilities.**

**Salary**: From £10.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
