**Hours**:You are required to work such hours as are reasonably required to carry out your role effectively. Your normal hours of work are 48 per week over a six-day week.

International House London is a non-profit-making educational trust committed to raising the standard of English language teaching and training worldwide. We are seeking dedicated staff for our four **Young Learners **schools located in **Oxford, Cambridge and Frensham **for Summer 2023. All summer programmes are based in outstanding boarding schools or colleges with beautiful grounds and exceptional facilities ideal for multi-national young learners.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

The role of **Activity Leader** is one of high responsibility directly concerned with the welfare and enjoyment of our Young Learner students.

As an Activity Leader you will be required to:

- Lead, supervise, motivate and engage students on on-site activities and excursions to ensure adequate planning and set up of onsite and offsite activities to ensure they exceed students’ expectations
- Provide pastoral duties and support the welfare team in their operations,
- Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students,
- Assisting and supporting in day-to-day general duties as instructed by the activity manager
- Carrying out residential supervision duties including, but not limited to meal and bedtime supervision as requested by the line manager

We aim for all our Activity Leaders to enjoy their experience with International House whilst always acting with high regard for the rules and policies and maintaining discipline throughout the course.

**CONTRACT LENGTH**:
From four to eight weeks, depending on location. More information will be available at the interview stage.

**Desirable**
- First aid training
- Safeguarding training
- Sports coaching or lifeguarding qualification(s)
- Social programme delivery experience in residential environment
- Energetic, outgoing and responsible with a positive ‘can do’ approach to work

Full board and accommodation may be included.

Transportation to and from the school when starting/ending the contract is not included.
