Experienced Front of House Server

The successful applicant is likely to have have experience in a front of house or supervisory role though full training can be given. Our beautiful train cafe where we deliver our highly-popular meals and afternoon teas, needs someone who will deliver an experience that is amazing, special and memorable for all the right reasons.

The successful applicant will be a real team player, show commitment to the business and really understand the importance of customers and delivering the best possible experience for them. Reliability is crucial as is the ability to take responsibility in a very busy area.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Serve afternoon teas, drinks and meals
- Handle transactions with accuracy
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any questions or concerns and ensuring everyone has a positive and memorable experience
- Upsell menu items, wines and promote specials to increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of front end area
- Assist with restocking inventory and ordering as needed

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices is required
- Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively and reliability
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order calculations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures
