**FIELD SALES & SURVEY CONSULTANT**

**(Loft storage solutions by The Loftman Company)**

The Loftman Company is one of the leaders for high quality loft storage solutions for under utilised space in domestic properties. We service the whole of the Midlands region, and cover other areas such as Oxford and the Cotswolds. We are only limited by the current size of the team, but have aspirations to deliver our service on more occasions across our geographical area.

You strive to give the customer what they want, if they don’t need it, you'll say so. This makes you & us stand out. (One of the keys to our success is; we're extremely helpful and always look at ways to save our customers money ‘No overselling, or over measuring’).

**What will you be doing?**
- Visiting customers on pre-arranged survey appointments. (Calling ahead to confirm arrival times and build a great first impression).
- Listen to the customer; (Putting the customers needs above your own). Carry out the assessment then discuss the products you believe will work best for the project.
- Create a quotation for the customer. Quite often we won’t quote at the property, preferring to leave and send a follow up quotation. (Our non pressure approach). This also allows more appointments to be completed through the week.
- When the quotation is accepted, liaise with our operations team to secure the booking. For quotes that haven't been accepted during the week, follow up the week after and offer advice or be available to answer any questions.
- Liaise with the directors, operations staff and fitting teams weekly to help growth and support successful installations. In turn the team will work hard to maximise your growth and development with us.

**How do we work?**
- _Flexibly: _You will be self-employed and will advise the directors of your weekly availability, from this you are allocated your appointments.
- _Remotely: _You will mainly be home / field based, there is no need to visit the office, so you'll need the ability to complete your work unsupervised. Once Covid restrictions are lifted we are looking to establish a base location.
- _Geographically: _Your appointments will be allocated according to our geographic location, there is a reasonable amount of driving required to attend customers’ appointments.

**What do you need?**
- Previous sales experience in a home improvements company (preferably possess loft and carpentry knowledge of some form, construction and technical skills would be favourable)
- A Full UK Driving Licence.
- A good knowledge of construction and / or home improvements.
- A very approachable and pleasant manner (you’ll be the first impression for our customers).
- Attention to detail with an ability to solve problems with a clear mind.
- Some flexibility in working hours to accommodate customer’s availability.

**Desirable (but not essential)?**
- Basic working knowledge of construction / building standards / how roof structures are designed and built / we have to display professionalism at all times, and creating safe spaces for the family to be in at height, is at the forefront of what we offer.

**Terms**:

- Full Time (Self-Employed Basis)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Commission, Permanent

Salary / Commission Structure - discussed at the interview phase but (Basic £1,250 per month OTE in the region of £50,000 - £72,000 PA)

**Experience**:

- Sales: Over 2 years (preferred)
- Construction knowledge 1 year (preferred)
