Birmingham, United Kingdom Newmedica Full time

**Who are we?**

Newmedica are one of the leading providers of NHS ophthalmology services in England, providing outpatients appointments, diagnostic testing and eye surgery. We aim to change lives through better sight and eye health.

We care for thousands of NHS and private patients a year in our specialist eye clinics across the country. We have significant growth plans over the next few years as we look to establish a national footprint and open many new sites across the UK.

We are thrilled to say that following an independently conducted survey of Newmedica colleagues, we have been certified as a Great Place to Work®. This is a global benchmark that recognises employers who create an outstanding employee experience.

**Overview of the role**

We are looking for a Systems Training Lead to join us on a 6-month fixed term contract to take responsibility for leading the ongoing rollout of a new electronic patient information system (ePR). This is a transformation project for the Newmedica business and includes significant change for our clinical services.

The Systems Training Lead will work closely with the Systems Trainers and ePR project / implementation teams to ensure that training is delivered to an excellent standard and in line with tight project timelines.

The Systems Training Lead will also be responsible for the ongoing evaluation and continuous improvement of ePR training as the system develops, is upgraded and utilised more effectively across Newmedica.

The role is home based, but we are looking for someone who is based in the Midlands. There will be significant travel to meet the demands of the project as it rolls out across our clinical sites. Whilst this is currently a fixed-term contract role there may be scope in the future for the tenure of the role to be extended or to be made permanent.

**So** what will I be doing?**

As an experienced systems trainer you’ll play a pivotal role in the implementation of the EPR system rollout, leading and coordinating training activities for our clinics migrating to the new system as well as for new clinic openings who will adopt the system from opening.

You’ll be a natural at stakeholder management and engagement. You’ll be liaising with a variety of different teams and sites daily, ensuring the relationships you build maintain a cooperative and collaborative working dynamic. As such you’ll be confident at liaising with people at all levels.

As the main L&D representative on the project you’ll be providing regular updates on training activity and managing training communications as well as acting as an escalation point for ePR training queries.

You’ll have an eye for detail as you’ll be managing the team resource to ensure the project plan is delivered and you’ll also be able to take a holistic ‘bigger picture’ view to review and monitor the effectiveness of the ePR training strategy.

From time to time, you may also need to support in the delivery of the ePR training, so you’ll be happy with rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck in operationally when required.

This is a great opportunity to join a friendly, forward-thinking, growing team who are open to new and different ways of thinking.

**What experience do I need?**
- Experience of design and delivery of systems training on national/ organisation wide programmes, in particular knowledge of electronic patient record systems would be beneficial.
- Experienced in training design through a blended approach (in person, online/ virtual, eLearning, on the job)
- Experience in learning needs analysis, learning theory and learning medium recommendation
- Understanding of Blended Learning principles
- Experience of managing a remote based team.
- Ability to work proactively with stakeholders at all levels and influence to ensure excellent outcomes

**What can we offer you?**
- A competitive salary
- Car Allowance
- Up to 17% company bonus, paid quarterly based on company performance and personal objectives
- 25 days annual leave plus 1 day birthday leave plus bank holidays per annum
- Access to a range of benefits, including free eye tests, discounted or free glasses, a few 24/7 wellbeing/counselling/advice service, private medical insurance, private dental care, health care scheme, death in service cover, an opportunity to sign up to a tax-free cycle to work and a retail/technology discount scheme
