Kennel Management Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for a Kennel management assistant to provide and be involved in the key structuring of the day-to-day operations here at LK9. This role promises to be fast paced and varied requiring someone with a muck in approach and experience within a working dog kennel.

**Responsibilities**:

- Maintaining consistent stock levels of all items ( food / equipment etc)
- Ensuring all daily tasks are complete and to a high standard - and would be in charge of maintaining
- Other kennel managerial duties to be explained
- Provide daily care and attention to animals in the kennel
- Feed and water animals according to their specific dietary needs
- Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and other animal living areas
- Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff
- Monitor the health and well-being of animals and report any concerns to the veterinarian
- Exercise and socialize animals to ensure their physical and mental well-being
- Assist with grooming tasks such as bathing & brushing
- Maintain accurate records of animal care and behaviour

**About You**:

- It is essential that you have experience and are confident handling and dealing with dogs.
- Experience in dog training / basic manners preferred but not essential
- Proactive, co-operative and enthusiastic approach to responsibilities with an ability to make decisions
