Practice Education Facilitator Administration Lead

We are looking for an enthusiastic & innovative individual to join our Practice Education Facilitator (PEF) Team at UHMBT.
We consist of a wide range of registered practitioners, with differing experiences in various community and acute settings.
We support nursing, midwifery and Allied Health Professional (AHP) staff to undertake student supervision and assessment in clinical areas, and we work in partnership with our Health Education Institution (HEI) colleagues to monitor and enhance the quality of our clinical placements.
Main duties (see attached job description for further duties/information):
- Provide administrative support to the Practice Education Facilitators Team (PEF Team).
- Manage confidential PEF Team information.
- Produce reports
- Lead & manage the PEF Administration Team
- Maintain & update processes.
- Manage calendars.
- Set up & maintain IT systems
- Ensure PEF Administration Team undertakes co-ordinated working practices.
- Collate compliance & mandatory training records.
- Responsible for supporting, coordinating PEF procedural documents.
- Assist PEF Team to co-ordinate recruitment, induction, mentoring & supervision of new staff.
- Supporting appraisals.
- Ensure up-to-date written & electronic records are maintained in accordance with professional & Trust Standards.
- Undertake relevant activities and mandatory training to meet Personal Development Plan (PDP) objectives.
- Authorised signatory for stock orders.
We operate from three main hospitals - Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community health care premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay
Our community services for adults are provided in people’s homes, community centres, clinics, GP Practices, community hospitals and our main hospitals. Our aim is to work with people to help them remain independent, improve their health and manage their conditions through high quality care, advice and support.
