**Project Worker (Nights) Leaving Care**

Full Time: 37.5hrs

Based: Gateshead

**Salary**: £23,000 - £24,500

Due to expansion an exciting opportunity has arisen within our Young people’s service for a Project Worker to work with young people who are looked after aged 16-18 in supported and semi-independent accommodation the settings.

**Who are Jigsaw Recovery Project?**

JRP offers supported and semi-independent living accommodation for Care Leavers. Our experienced and dedicated team meets hardest to reach needs and client circumstances. Our creative and unique service work in partnership with local authorities and other professionals to provide bespoke packages to our service users in dignified and respectful manner, which is the cornerstone of our service delivery.

**Role Purpose**:
Working across our young peoples provisions, we provide housing and support for young people aged 16-18. The team will be expected to work within policy and procedural framework, as well as local Pathway procedures. As part of the team you will provide a person focussed and flexible responsive service to the young people.

This is a role for a waking night staff member, who is responsible for delivering a high-quality housing management service to individuals in semi - supported accommodation in our project in Gateshead.
- Responsible for the welfare and safety of individuals throughout the night and the safety and security of the buildings during this time.
- To work in an inclusive way with young people.
- Answer the telephone and deal with individuals and external agencies in a positive and helpful manner
- To ensure the building is safe and secure at all times carrying out relevant health and safety checks and reporting any issues for follow up.
- Take messages for staff who are absent and ensure they are handed over at the earliest opportunity
- Ensure all visitors are signed in and are directed to the correct meeting ensure that they are signed out
- To establish and maintain keynotes and recording of incidents and safeguarding, MFH.
- Keep clear, factual and appropriately detailed electronic and manual records, to the day staff ensuring risk information takes priority.
- To maintain a safe and tidy office and working environment, including keeping areas clean and tidy.
- Respond to incidents that require assistance, ensuring the safety of self and others, following appropriate procedures and contact 999 if emergency services are required and record keeping.
- To identify and monitor safeguarding concerns, ensuring all relevant policies and legislation are adhered to.
- Respond to any Anti-social behaviour, incidents or disruption in the building or in the local community.
- To respond to welfare needs particularly relating to health.
- Assist the Engagement and resilience workers with any housing management and administration tasks required, ie: finances and welfare, prepare letters, gather information, liaise with external agencies, helping individuals to maintain and sustain their accommodation to understand the expectations of their licence, and how to comply with these.
- Undertake practical housing tasks as required; preparation of individual’s rooms, room cleans following a individual leaving the service, following all procedures associated with this task.

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£24,500.00 per year

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
