Lincolnshire County Council are looking for an enthusiastic and effective individual to join in our Place directorate us as a **Policy and Assurance Officer.**

**About the Role**

Working alongside the Commissioning Assurance Manager and the Policy and Strategic Asset Manager you will support the policy and contract compliance processes. This post involves delivering a personal portfolio of projects and/or specific work, coaching/mentoring teams/colleagues as appropriate to embed new ways of thinking and working.

You could be assisting with the implementation of service strategies and delivery plans to meet the Council's targets and objectives.

**About You**

We are looking for an individual who can support the development and review of highway asset management policy, strategy plans and programmes of work. Somebody who can assist to ensure commissions are delivered in budget. We need someone who can provide day to day leadership as appropriate to deliver the agreed priorities within commissioning strategies.

Education and Qualifications: NVQ level 3, for example ONC/OND, A level or BTEC in Civil Engineering, a Scientific Discipline or IT or suitable equivalent.

Whilst NVQ level 3 is identified as essential in the personal specification consideration may be given to someone who is nearing completion of the course or who is willing to train. If necessary, training will be paid for and supported by the team. Full induction and on-going support will also be provided.
