Exciting news from Wychem, an Ascensus Specialties Company We are currently seeking a Plant Operator to join our dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to be part of a small yet successful team with a worldwide presence. Reporting to either the Plant Lead and working closely with the Director of Operations, the Plant Operator will be instrumental in managing production, ensuring quality control, maintaining health and safety standards, and overseeing environmental processes.Key Responsibilities
- The Plant Operator will be accountable for the manufacturing, drying, and packing of materials, maintaining safety protocols and adhering to company procedures. Responsibilities also include scheduling work based on production timetables, working alongside management to resolve any issues that may arise. The individual must demonstrate a commitment to upholding the company's quality criteria, actively seek opportunities to enhance operational processes, offer assistance to other departments as required, and partake in audits. The ability to work extended hours as needed is essential.Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 GCSEs grade C or equivalent, or 1-2 years of experience in chemical manufacturing or a related industry.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of Office 365.
- Understanding of the hazards and safety protocols when working with potentially hazardous chemicals, atmospheres, and materials, including explosive atmospheres.
- Preferred Qualifications- A Chemistry related degree or other degree in a relevant field of study.
- 3-5 years industrial experience in fine chemical or pharmaceutical manufacture.
