Head of Projects (Construction) - United Kingdom

We are searching for a Head of Projects to support our UK & Ireland team.

Whilst our builds may not have high value budgets, The Head of Projects (Construction) has a huge scope based on the volume of projects. They will be responsible for delivering our business' annual new restaurant opening program along with relocations and remodels. They will work closely with The Head of NBD and The Head of Leasing to creatively deliver projects with careful consideration for efficient use of space; on time and driving execution best practices. They will also have responsibility for developing and implementing our standardized approach to Facilities Management across the UK & Ireland which is both cost efficient but drive operating standards.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- As owner of the TUKI format blueprints they will complete site feasibility covering operational, Guest journey, regulatory standards, and financial affordability. They will work closely with the team to exploit all opportunities for new restaurants and with other areas of the business to support the development, test, and roll out of initiatives where the physical restaurant space is impacted.
- You will hire and performance manage local / regional / national Contractors to deliver projects on behalf of our Franchisees, identifying any / all opportunities to manage cost without impacting quality. You will work with our Operations & Supply Chain to manage the supply of equipment so that there is adequate contractor and equipment availability to meet the requirements of the program.
- Take a holistic view on end-to-end project plan with a passion to understand dependencies between the various disciplines and find creative ways to unlock bottlenecks and increase speed of opening. You will also develop and maintain a toolkit which will be used by Franchisees and Operations during times of pre-opening, remodels, and closures.
- Manage a small team which will cover all projects plus Facilities Management. You will develop an FM strategy, working closely with other stakeholders and which will be rolled out to standardize and drive operating standards.

**Skills & Abilities required**:

- Previous experience managing a team and motivating external parties using an excellent network of UK contacts across the wider property environment.
- A proven track record in Project Management / Delivery spanning across Projects & Facilities preferably in Hospitality or Retail. Franchisor/franchisee business model advantageous.
- Confident negotiator, good communicator, and dynamic personality with self-motivated attitude to work.
- Strategic and good commercial awareness; organized and excellent project management skills.

**Additional requirements**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Property or related field preferred.
- 10+ year experience with 5+ years of supervisory experience
- Technical Proficiencies: Software (Microsoft Office Suite programs: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
