As a Peer Support Worker at NIHCSS, you will be using your own lived experience of mental distress to support people using the service.

You will support others to gain a sense of hope and empowerment, to develop self-management techniques, social connections, problem-solving, whilst drawing on your own lived experience.

You will work alongside people, helping them to articulate their hopes, identify achievable goals and offer support to fulfil them.

You will support individuals to increase their self-esteem, confidence and motivation, promoting progress in their journey to recovery.

You will be confident in making decisions within job scope

You will an excellent communicator, both with those using our services, and with a wide range of professionals/other agencies

You will be willing to learn, through training, supervision and day-to-day experience

A driving licence and access to a car is a requirement of this role due to geographical coverage
