The opportunity
Exclusive role to Hays - new Financial Controller role - working hybrid out of Neath based offices - this engineering business is flying with regards to profits and revenue. We are looking for a great Financial Controller to join them for the long haul to bepart of their continued growth strategy. A real chance to make a difference. You will be the right hand person to a great part-time FD. The role is one with a wide remit, one where your natural curiosity will be utilised, one where you can really make a difference.
Working as part of a professional, supportive and ambitious finance team, you will play a key role in preparing management accounts, project and financial analysis and month end processes.
- Management of cost allocation for all projects within the business.
- Provide detailed cash flow forecasting
- Production of monthly Management Information Packs P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow split by segment,
- Support the business in implementing, driving and auditing process controls
- Business KPI Analysis
- Support with annual budgeting process and monthly re-forecasting.
- Project review, analysis and reporting
- Supporting with systems development to drive process controls and visibility of operating performance.
- Variance analysis.
- Tender support
- Controlling the Capex approval process
- Key business decision making support including lease or buy decisions.
- Core systems development.
What you'll need to succeed:
To be considered for this progressive Financial Controller role you will need some experience within a similar position, you will want to continue to learn, develop, and progress within your career. You will need strong communication skills and excellent analyticalproblem solving, along with the ability to meet deadlines, manage workloads and have key business partnering skills. You will need strong MS Excel skills and systems dexterity and be able to analyse financial information and communicate this data to othersaround the business.
