We work collaboratively with our colleagues across the border in North Wales and within our sub-region with Cheshire East and Warrington - we are a truly collaborative and inclusive directorate where residents, communities and businesses are at the heart of everything that we do. The Housing Service is a critical one within the directorate and is truly cross cutting. You will work closely with elected members supporting and advising them on all housing matters.

Responsible for approximately 90 staff across a very diverse portfolio that includes housing options, our housing register, homelessness services including complex needs and Multi-Agency Rough Sleeping Partnership, Refugees and Asylum seekers, Gypsies and Travellers, Capital Housing Delivery Programme, and all housing-related policies and strategies - You will be a strong leader and collaborator who is able to ensure that the needs of our residents and climate are reflected in our housing strategies and plans ensuring that the landlord function for the Council’s housing stock is fulfilled and will be the lead for the housing management contract.

We're committed to building stronger, fairer and greener communities for all and this role will pay a significant part in ensuring that the service responds effectively to the needs of local communities and residents.

You will have a customer first approach and be able to embed and drive the core values of the council in everything you do, playing your part fully in a positive culture to ensure that our delivery of services is the best it can be. You will drive value for money and innovation in the management and delivery of services, acting as a strong commissioner and ensuring an effective and efficient service.
