The Climate and Resilience Hub (CRH) at WTW is a cross-cutting unit with substantial expertise in climate and other natural catastrophe modelling and disaster risk financing. The Disaster Risk Finance and Parametrics (DRFP) team within the CRH specialisesin bespoke services confronting large scale challenges of risk, seeking innovative uses of risk management and insurance-related mechanisms to build resilient economies and societies around the world to support sustainable growth.
Team members have been at the forefront of developing and implementing disaster risk financing solutions throughout the last 20+ years. Our credentials demonstrate our experience in providing risk quantification, analytics, research, and advisory services topublic, private and third sector entities managing catastrophe risk around the world. The wider global presence of WTW, with offices in over 140 countries, allows us to work closely with governments, communities and businesses across the world.
We are looking for an Associate Director specialising in Disaster Risk Finance within public financial management, to deliver and further develop our disaster risk finance advisory practice, and in particular our offerings related to public finance. We identifyand quantify disaster risk, and create and implement risk financing to help public sector entities manage that risk. You will be involved in all aspects of such advice, from sharing risk understanding to developing risk financing strategies to driving implementationof financial risk management solutions. You will lead the delivery and management of engagements on an end-to-end basis, from client development to proposal to implementation.
By working on cutting-edge projects within a globally recognised team in the critical area of public financial resilience, you will have the opportunity to significantly grow your disaster risk financing knowledge, and create and deliver innovative approachesto support sovereigns and other public sector entities, particularly the most vulnerable across the global South, to build more robust and durable mechanisms to address the public financial consequences of disaster risk.
**The Role**
Working closely with the Practice Leads, you will deliver and develop our disaster risk finance advisory to tackle complex client needs, including:

- Analyse existing disaster risk management and finance frameworks, specifically of national and sub-national government bodies, evaluate exposure of public assets, (contingent) liabilities, and implications for sovereign credit risk, and recommend risk managementand financing changes to improve the financial resilience of public sector balance sheets;
- Lead teams to deliver complex consultancy projects and serve as project manager to ensure progress against timetables, deliverables, resources, governance and professional excellence;
- Coordinate across the team, as well as across WTW and external partners, including providing leadership and oversight to bid teams in the development of proposals and providing strategic insight to public sector bid processes;
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospects including research, initiation of contact, meetings, developing project proposals, new business presentations;
- Develop, engage and manage a network of third parties to further our proposition development and delivery to clients;
