**Technical Coach in Digital Skills**

**Hull**

**Salary: £13,258.38** per annum**

**21 hours per week, 52 weeks per year**

As our Technical Coach in Digital Skills** **you** **will Provide academic and or technical training to students to support achievement within the technical qualification of their programme. Through classroom and or workshop training you will aim to develop, improve and consolidate learning.

The post holder will support the achievement of students through the development of practical and academic skills to include support for student learning activities in workshops, one to one and classrooms situations; provide teaching support on projects and assignments set by teachers; provide high quality resource management including specialist equipment; monitor and support students on work experience.

**Responsibilities of our** **Technical Coach in Digital Skills**:

- As a member of academic staff work effectively together with other academic staff and cross-college colleagues as one team, respect and value each other to deliver outstanding services to students.
- Prepare training materials, equipment and resources for student activities which you are responsible for including a rich tutorial programme.
- Deliver high quality learning experiences which enable students to develop in their learning.
- Deliver training improve the technical and or academic skills of students.
- Supervise and provide instruction to groups of students to develop their skills and knowledge in relation to the qualification.
- Assess learning and measure student progress through a range of assessment methods.
- Supervise and facilitate employability and enrichment activities for students.
- Ensure that practical learning environments and equipment comply with health and safety requirements, identifying necessary actions and reporting through line management.
- Act always as ambassador for the college through a professional approach to internal and external customers.
- Actively comply and contribute to the College’s policies and procedures, particularly in relation to Health and Safety, Safeguarding, Equal Opportunities and Data Protection

**What we’re looking for in our** **Technical Coach in Digital Skills**:

- L2 maths and English
- L4 Assessor qualification or willing to work towards
- A knowledge and understanding of various qualifications within the area of digital and media
- Experience of demonstrating techniques for specialist areas (e.g., technical equipment, hardware, software)
- Experience of supporting classroom, training and workshop activities
