**Technical Coach in Beauty Therapy**

**Hull**

**Salary: £16,415.16 Actual, £23,360 FTE per annum**

**26 hours per week, 52 weeks per year**

As our **Technical Coach in Beauty Therapy**,** **you** **will provide academic and or technical training to students to support achievement within the technical qualification of their programme. Through classroom and or workshop training you will aim to develop, improve and consolidate learning.

**Responsibilities of our Technical Coach in Beauty Therapy**:

- As a member of academic staff work effectively together with other academic staff and cross-college colleagues as one team, respect and value each other to deliver outstanding services to students.
- Prepare training materials, equipment and resources for student activities which you are responsible for.
- Deliver high quality learning experiences which enable students to develop in their learning.
- Deliver training improve the technical and or academic skills of students.
- Supervise and provide instruction to groups of students to develop their skills and knowledge in relation to the qualification.
- Assess learning and measure student progress through a range of assessment methods.
- Supervise and facilitate employability and enrichment activities for students.
- Ensure that practical learning environments, equipment, machines and plant comply with health and safety requirements, identifying necessary actions and reporting through line management.
- Maintain individual student records to capture progress, including maintaining records of student attendance and initial assessment.
- Contribute to the on-boarding of students such as interviewing, taster sessions and attend open events as required.
- Act always as ambassador for the college through a professional approach to internal and external customers.
- Actively comply and contribute to the College’s policies and procedures, particularly in relation to Health and Safety, Safeguarding, Equal Opportunities and Data Protection

**What we’re looking for in our **Technical Coach in Beauty Therapy**:

- Subject specific Level 3/4 qualification
- Level 3 Award in Education and Training/Cert Ed/PGCE (or willingness to achieve within two years)
- Minimum of a level 2 qualification in English and maths
- L3 Assessor qualification or willing to work towards
- Experience working in an academic setting and working with learners to support their needs
- Experience in supporting teaching and learning in a classroom, workshop or workplace environment
- Experience in supporting revision workshops, study skills, and covering classes
- Knowledge of the specialist sector
- Organisational, administrative and time management skills
- Written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
- The ability to use own initiative to develop and improve the service within the constraints of the College policy and procedures
