Overview:
Energy Resourcing are currently recruiting for a SQS Coordinator to join their project delivery team based in Wilton on a 24-month contract basis.

The SQS Coordinator will be a part of the Supply Chain Management Team ensuring the suppliers equipment is manufactured and supplied in accordance with the design specifications and project procedures. The role will include the coordination of Inspection agency inspectors & direct inspections as required.

The Project is a deep mine and associated transport, processing, storage and shipping infrastructure in North Yorkshire, UK. It will produce Polyhalite, a naturally occurring mineral containing potassium, sulphur, magnesium, and calcium.

**Responsibilities**:

- Reports to the Project Quality Lead or designee and is responsible for implementation of Supplier Quality Surveillance Standards.
- Provide input to supplier assessment evaluations.
- Attending weekly supplier & project meetings.
- Input into the Weekly/Monthly Project Status Reports.
- Review of inquiries, purchase orders (PO’s), requisitions, and subcontracts for conformance to surveillance and inspection requirements as directed by the Project Quality Lead.
- Preparation of the clients Surveillance Plans (WSPs) for RFQ packages, Assignment Instructions, and Inspection Folders for each order that includes surveillance, inspection, witness/observation/Hold, or review points, along with requirements for Customer participation.
- Coordinating & communicating with Procurement, Expeditors, Project Engineers, Inspection Agency Coordinators & Quality Inspectors.
- Issuing the Assignment Instructions in accordance with project distribution requirements.
- Assigning Inspectors, coordinating their daily activities, and issuing their Assignment Instructions and Inspection Folders. When third party Inspectors are to be considered for assignments, secure their resume, and conduct preliminary interview to confirm qualifications if required.
- Maintain the inspection assignment schedule.
- Determining if a Pre-Inspection Meeting (PIM) is necessary.
- Attending and chairing the PIM(s) for critical equipment or orders.
- Review and approval of Supplier quality documentation.
- Assisting the Inspector in obtaining clarifications and interpretations to quality standards, industry codes, and Engineering and Customer specifications.
- Review of SQS Inspection Status Reports prior to issue.
- Ensure the close out of supplier action lists or NCRs.
- Review of manufacturing record books (MRB).

Qualifications:

- Experience in a similar role with Quality.
- Have an engineering or trade background.
- Relevant technical qualifications or training that enable a competent exchange of information between all parties.
- Experience with industry inspection & testing requirements.
- Knowledge of national & International manufacturing standards.
- Internal/Lead Auditor / ISO 9001 or equivalent quality management qualification/standards.
- Excellent understanding of project execution, especially in an EPCM environment.
