Here at Pineview Day Nursery, we are a family run business that prides on delivering childcare to a high standard. We pride ourselves on providing a friendly and kind work environment for all of our staff with future training and up-skilling opportunities with the support of the business.

We are looking for a nursery assistant who is trustworthy, passionate and dedicated to providing care for young children.

If you are under the age of 25 years old there are fully funded training opportunities available to study while you work and achieve a level 2/3 qualification in childcare.

The daily roles and responsibilities include:

- spending time reading to children, telling stories and engaging with them.
- assisting children in play.
- being on your feet, playing inside or outside.
- helping with meal times.
- assisting with toilet training and changing nappies.
- helping teach children basic hygiene practices such as washing hands.
- washing and changing children, ensuring that they are clean.
- providing comfort and reassurance if children are ill or upset.
- tracking and monitoring the development of children and liaising with their parents/carers.

Desirable criteria:

- A Level 3 qualification in childcare or be working towards this.
- A minimum of 2 years experience working within an early years setting.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
