This role offers the chance to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment as a civil servant with a key role in Scotland achieving its Net Zero ambitions, work closely with team members in a friendly environment and an opportunity to gain experience of project and programme management.

You will work in a small team that manages the delivery of two funding programmes

The post will sit in the Heat Investment Unit within the Heat in Buildings Division. There will be no line management responsibility in the first instance.

**Job description**:

- Monitoring the delivery of projects that are receiving Scottish Government support and assessing project risks
- Managing documentation associated with grant support and ensuring the programmes are audit-ready
- Management of stakeholders and maintaining productive relationships with grantees
- Using knowledge of current projects to inform policy-making
- Providing responses to Ministerial Correspondence and briefing requests

**Person specification**:

- Proven knowledge and experience in energy, net zero or infrastructure.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills with the ability to prioritise challenging workloads and find efficient ways of managing work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence and ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to organise and collate information, draw out key messages and communicate these effectively, verbally and in writing to a range of audiences.
