**Project Advice Assistant**

Rooted Finance (RF) is a registered London based debt advice and education charity operating in England. At the heart of RF’s philosophy is the prevention and cure of unmanageable debt.

Our services include emergency debt support for over-indebted individuals, preventative advice to protect people from getting into debt and smart money workshops to improve financial management skills.

As the cost-of-living crisis continues to impact millions of people across the UK, we are looking for new team members to help us meet the growing demand for debt advice and support our clients improve their financial wellbeing. Our advisers help prevent homelessness, reduce food and fuel poverty and ensure clients are supported through vulnerable circumstances with empathy and dignity.

The **Project Advice Assistant **is an instrumental role in ensuring the smooth delivery of a quality money advice service. You will engage directly with our service users and support our team of money advisors. You will need strong administrative, research and data skills, excellent communication and critical-thinking skills, and should be flexible and capable of working independently and as part of a team.

**What will you do?**

You will:

- Perform general office administrative and clerical duties.
- Undertake all client assessments and maintain advisers’/external outreach diaries.
- Maintain punctual, accurate and compliant records on case management system
- Provide support to advisers on a regular basis with administrative and casework support.
- Support project with events/external activities.
- Work closely with supervisor and advisers to ensure smooth and professional service delivery
- Maintain all regulatory and compliance procedure

**How will you achieve this?**

We will provide you with training, which will allow you to meet the needs of your role and progress within the organisation as we develop our operations and back-office functions.

Continual Professional Development (CPD) is required and you will be supported to ensure that your knowledge and skills are up to date.

Training will be ongoing and by a variety of methods including in-house, courses, webinars and e-learning.

**Is it you we’re looking for?**

You will have:

- Proven experience working in an operations support and administrative role
- Proven attention to detail and an interest in first-time accuracy
- A demonstrable proactive approach and unprompted problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and the ability to manage various stakeholders
- A confident and assertive personality, combined with the ability to carry out duties calmly and professionally
- Understanding of the reasons and need to maintain confidentiality at all time
- Excellent IT skills, including experience of using Microsoft Office; in particular Outlook, Word, Excel and of using systems to monitor and maintain records
- A commitment to RF's work

**Hours**

35 hours per week. Operating hours are 9am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Occasional evenings and weekends for events with time off in lieu applicable.

**What will you receive in return?**

An annual salary of £22,500 pro rata

25 days annual leave pro rata plus bank holidays. You will also receive an additional day of leave on your birthday.

Hybrid and flexible working arrangements _can be considered upon successful completion of full-time in person probation_

3% Pension contribution and employee benefits package

£200 home-office equipment allowance
