**Quality Inspector**

**Job Role**

As Quality Inspector you will have expertise and experience in inspection, quality control and systems.

You will ensure that products and parts meet specifications and standards.

You will primarily implement the Quality Management System, adhering the company processes to ensure alignment and compliance to ISO 9001 and other pertinent standards.

You will ensure that internal inspection processes are delivered in line with design and product requirements.

You will ensure that customer complaints and returns are managed in an efficient and timely manner, working with all necessary Salunda departments to ensure timely closure and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

You will support and guide, internal and external audits and manage the timely closure of actions and issues.

You should experience in measurement techniques, AOI and metrology.

You will have excellent attention to detail.

**Key responsibilities**
- Inspect all work in progress, products, parts and materials to identify deviations from defined specifications, standard, requirements and drawings.
- Document and measure procedural and product changes, SOP, Risk assessments, Inspection criteria.
- Audit external vendors and suppliers to ensure that they meet defined standards.
- Manage, perform, and support the internal and external audit process.
- Manage product returns and oversee the failure analysis processes.
- Submit detailed Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) reports for internal and external customers.
- Monitor the internal ECN, NCR processes.
- Understand quality control procedures and relevant legal standards, a working knowledge of ISO 9001.
- Produce effective (detailed) project plans for implementing continuous improvement initiatives and audit schedules.

**Departmental KPI Examples**:
Cost of poor quality (rework, returns, scrap, yield), % yield (Internal and External suppliers), Audit statistics, supplier quality metrics, cost of technical support due to failures, number of complaints by description, number of Continuous Improvements (CI) activities, cost of CI vs savings.

**This role reports to the Quality Manager**

**Job Type**: Permanent

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
