We are proud to be partnering with an International Human Rights Organisation to find a temporary, Community Organising Assistant for at least 3 months.

The Community Organising Unit is made up of the Movement Building and Campaigning Communities Team and sits within the wider Community Organising, HRE and Events (CORE) Team whose purpose is to empower more people in the UK to know, claim and stand up for human rights.

The Community Organising Assistant is a pivotal role, providing administrative, event and project support to the Community Organising Unit and Head of CORE in their work towards creating a bigger, bolder, more diverse and connected human rights movement in the UK.

The Community Organising Unit forms and maintains positive relationships with the organisation's activists, Trade Unions and other partners, including football clubs and organisations as part of their ground-breaking Football Welcomes programme, enabling all to play central roles in the organisation's work. It empowers groups, networks and individuals to have an impact in bringing about positive human rights change, to reach new audiences and to be champions for the organisation and its work in and with their communities.

Key responsibilities:
Maintain relationships with local groups, activists and partners through regular, effective communication, and through a monthly newsletter Support all Community Organisers to enable and empower activists, working to ensure consistent systems and support for all activist groups. Develop and maintain effective administrative and budgetary systems across the CORE team
You will also support the delivery of large-scale activist events, projects and conferences, training events as well as setting up and facilitating webinars

This is an exciting opportunity with a renowned organisation and this will be a 3 month role with an immediate start.
