Through Life Support recognises that military equipment and systems require ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and support throughout their operational lifespan to remain effective and available for use. It goes beyond the initial acquisition phase and extends into the sustainment and eventual retirement of the equipment. The goal is to maximise the operational capability, availability, and reliability of the equipment while minimising whole-life costs.

We have vacancies in the Through Life Support professional disciplines of:

- Equipment Support (ES) Officer - You will be contributing to the management of the In-service asset lifecycle for Equipment and Products, ensuring whole life cost effective support, This will include upkeeping and updating forward and depth maintenance support resources and technical information, and planning for disposal of the Equipment/Product for its planned Out-of-Service Date (OSD).
- ILS Engineer - Contributing to the design and development of the ILS/Integrated Product Support (IPS) programme/project(s) for procuring new reliable, maintainable, sustainable, and whole life cost affordable supportable Equipment/Products or conducting upgrades to existing Equipment/Products.

These roles are based in our offices in Bristol and in-office attendance will be expected as required.

Due to security requirements, some of these posts are reserved for Sole UK Nationals only and some will require more in-depth security checks (Developed Vetting).

Please note that salary offers above the £32,500 - £35,000 range will only be made based on exceptional performance in interview.

**Responsibilities**
- Ensuring the configuration and governance control management of technical information and documentation of an equipment/product.
- Managing obsolescence risks and mitigations and determining the most cost effective through-life resolution.
- Contributing to support analysis for informing the support design, as part of ensuring the right support solution is in place.
- Providing asset management system through-life upkeep and update for equipment/product system status, collaborating with engineering and supply chain colleagues to ensure maintenance and asset records are accurate and current.
- Contributing to the production and performance monitoring progress of the ILS programme and tracking the progress and development of supportable Products.
- Providing support in the management of the team, which can include, providing coaching, training, mentoring to junior staff, internal or external stakeholders and cross functional colleagues.
- Contributing to procuring the right equipment/product and/or contributes to Post Design System modifications and updates.
- Managing support stakeholders, customer, and suppliers by coordinating and tracking support solution progress to agreed milestone(s) and target(s).

**Person specification**:

- Evidence of the ability to investigate, source information, and interpret data to solve problems.
- Experience in identifying trends/issues, producing reports, and proposing recommendations.
- Evidence of working collaboratively with others in a team or part of a stakeholder group and gaining buy-in across the team.
- Experience either working in a logistic/equipment/product/asset management, engineering, maintenance environment, or having a related qualification.
