Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Coordinator

Morrells Woodfinishes are a market leading British company originating from 1902 specialising in high performance wood finishes, with a significant European brand profile and reputation as part of RPM International Inc.
We develop, manufacture and distribute a full range of high performance wood finishes as well as offering a bespoke colour-matching service for paints, stains and tinted lacquers.
**Duties Include**:
- Inspecting the facilities to identify environmental, health and safety (EHS) hazards and risks.
- Develop and implement inspection procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
- Assist in the development of EHS procedures for all areas of the company.
- Maintain relevant SHEQ records and documentation.
- Prepare and schedule training to cover SHEQ training and other relevant topics.
- Monitor compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Prepare reports to document inspection findings.
- Continuous improvement of EHS goals and Objectives
- Ensure that material safety data sheets are authored, maintained and readily accessible.
- Coordinate the proper use, maintenance, and inspection of necessary safety and personal protective equipment.
- Provide assistance and advice on EHS issues to make recommendations.
- Participate in detailed accident and incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis.
- Observe EHS regulations, wears all required safety equipment, encourages safe working practices, correct obvious hazards immediately or reports them to the proper personnel.
**Skills/Abilities**
- Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations and policies - to ideally include COSHH, Dangerous Goods, DSEAR, FIRE, GHS/CLP, REACH and WASTE
- Conducting suitable and sufficient risk assessment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- Willingness to travel to other sites if required.
**Qualifications and Experience**
- Essential - IOSH Managing Safety. Desirable - NEBOSH General Certificate.
- Related experience, preferably within the Manufacturing and/or Chemical Industry.
