**What you'll be doing**

Our thee-year Environment graduate programme gives you the opportunity to be at the heart of exciting projects making significant improvements to the environments surrounding our roads and local communities.

Guided and mentored by our experienced team, you’ll take on projects and responsibilities that will build on your existing environmental skills and knowledge.

You’ll be involved with:

- Providing technical advice to our major schemes and operations teams
- Helping to develop our environmental policy
- Reviewing proposals for environmental improvements
- Environmental research and development projects
- Communicating with a variety of stakeholders, including environmental bodies and our supply chain
- Environmental assessment and design
- Cultural heritage/archaeology
- Ecology
- Noise
- Air quality
- Water management
- Carbon management
- Landscape
- Planning
