This Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 Apprenticeship at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is an exciting opportunity to learn new skills and become part of the Inpatient Therapy Team. The apprentice will gain valuable administration experience, and experience working within the NHS whilst developing key transferable skills.

This apprenticeship is suitable for anyone with a desire to learn and develop their administration skills with a view to beginning a career in administration and gain a Customer Service Level 2 Apprenticeship.

We wish to appoint an efficient and committed Apprentice Customer Service Practitioner to provide administration support to the Inpatient Therapy Team at Gloucestershire Royal and Cheltenham General Hospital.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who fits with our ethos of continual improvement and delivery of the highest quality patient-centred care.

This post comprises of, but is not limited to, administrative and data management support to the therapy team. The post holder will provide an efficient, confidential and professional admin support service to the Inpatient therapy team. This will include clerical support, data inputting and associated tasks to enable the provision of efficient patient care.
Good communication with patients, relatives, therapy staff and other staff is essential to ensure a proficient, high quality service for patients and clinicians.

The post holder will ensure the professional image of the department and Trust is maintained at all times and will have a flexible approach to working hours, to meet the demands of the service.

The post requires a focussed approach to work with attention to detail. You will have well-developed communication, organisational and time management skills. An ability to prioritise effectively in a busy environment is essential.

The successful applicant will receive induction and training appropriate to the activities they will undertake, and following this induction period will be enrolled to the Level 2 Customer Services Apprenticeship with Adult Education in Gloucestershire.

The Apprentice will be expected to complete the elements of the apprenticeship within the 15 months’ timeframe. This apprenticeship includes:

- Level 2 Customer services apprenticeship standard - assessed through end point assessment
- Knowledge - The organisation, values of their skills, stakeholders, relevant regulation, policies, business fundamentals, processes, external environmental factors
- Skills - IT, record and document production, decision making, interpersonal skills, communications, quality, planning and organisation, project management
- Behaviours - Professionalism, personal qualities, managing performance, adaptability, responsibility
- Functional Skill English and Maths if not previously attained Level 2 equivalent before.
