**Purpose**: To manage the gardens and surrounding areas to be sustainable and attractive. To lead a team of staff and volunteers in daily operations on site.

**Salary**: Up to £20,960 per year.

**Hours**: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (occasional weekend work required)

If so, you’d love working as the Garden Team Leader at Botton Village, in the beautiful 1,000 acre estate on the edge of the North Yorkshire moor.

The post holder will lead a team of gardeners and assistants in supporting vulnerable adults attending Botton, Gardens. The role involves the line management of one full time team member and one part time, leading them to develop the gardens and working with the Social Care Lead to achieve the aims of the garden.

- You will plan, prepare and deliver a programme of horticultural activities, which is inclusive of individual goals and measured outcomes for the people we support.
- You have a passion for supporting people accessing the social farm/garden in achieving agreed objectives during day activities in a meaningful and safe manner.

**Who are we looking for?**
- You’ll need to have a recognised qualification in either horticulture and/or social care or a willingness and ability to achieve both within an agreed period.
- You’ll have a good understanding and/or experience of working with people with learning difficulties and/or challenging behaviour
- The ability to work effectively as a member of a small team
- You’ll be self-motivated, dynamic, and able to work with a high level of autonomy and without close supervision
- Naturally well organised with a proven ability to manage own time and workload
- You’ll have good IT skills, a full driving license (manual vehicles) and have a willingness to travel
