Maintenance Team Leader

**Salary**: £50K
Hours: Monday to Friday 8AM to 4PM
Based in the Northeast Area
Gi Group Scarborough are looking for an Maintenance Team Leader This is an exciting opportunity with a wonderful company for someone who has the experience and who is looking for a fantastic salary. This role is based on the outskirts of Scarborough and GiGroup would love to hear from you
- Effective Performance Management of engineering maintenance team on a regular basis through coaching, mentoring, and 360-degree communication using the Traffic Light performance management system.
- Liaise with individuals and management through an open and communicative approach to gain 'Buy In' and to create a learning and innovative culture that includes continuous improvement.
- Ensure all members of the maintenance team are fully cross-trained, and current knowledge is maintained across the engineering and maintenance team.
- Carry out Electrical installation work, Inspection & Testing according to 17th edition regulations (BS1761)
- Electrically and mechanically maintain and repair all Factory equipment.
- Electrically and mechanically maintain and repair all site support and ancillary equipment i.e., Chillers, Compressors, Sprinklers etc.
- Ensuring Planned Preventative Maintenance is scheduled correctly and completed in a timely manner on all Factory equipment.
- Maintain and enforce use of ILAC system (Preventative Maintenance).
- Ensure a safety culture is adopted by Teams and self and housekeeping standards are maintained.
- Carry out Calibration & maintain records for Temperature Controllers, Width Detectors, Tension towers, etc.
- Ensuring Health & Safety Procedures and safe working practices are always adhered to.
- Ensuring the Engineering workshop is maintained in a clean, safe, and tidy condition.
- Implement and maintain 5S systems / shadow boards etc across engineering department and site as appropriate.
- Attend monthly Problem Resolution Meetings.
- Participate in electrical, mechanical, and other site projects, and lead engineering / maintenance activities.
- Ensure work raised by Production Personnel through the EWR and ILAC systems are resolved in a timely manner, minimising downtime.
- Ensuring sufficient electrical and mechanical spares, and maintenance consumables for all factory machinery are always held on site.
- Reporting any Health & Safety issues to Supervisors or Management.
- Work with QHSE Manager to maintain COSHH records and use only approved substances.
- Plan and manage holidays and call-out cover within the Maintenance team to always ensure best coverage of site.
- Assist with people development planning, and upskilling by defining and leading training programmes as appropriate.
- Hold regular team meetings, and one-to-one's with team members to improve communication and team performance.
- Attend any training provided by the Company to maintain regulatory compliance.
- Carrying out any reasonable request by Group Leaders or Managers.
