The Finance and Payroll Assistant will perform the day-to-day financial operations of the Trust, ensuring accurate and timely processing and record keeping. In addition, the role supports the Finance Manager with the monthly payroll, as well as providinggrant administration support to project officers.

**Description**

The Finance and Payroll Assistant responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- invoice payments on customer accounts and following up on overdue invoices.
- Arranging payments by cheque or BACS and sending remittances. Ensuring supporting
- documentation is scanned and filed electronically.
- Coordinating and paying expenses claims for employees and volunteers, ensuring correct
- VAT treatment and budget allocation of this expenditure.
- Preparing the monthly payroll and producing supporting documentation for authorisation, ensuring payroll is compliant with all relevant statutory requirements
- Calculating and paying all pension contributions for staff
- Processing joiners and leavers, including submitting P45s and hosting finance inductions for new staff.

**Profile**

The successful applicant will have;
- Experience of maintaining accurate financial records including purchase ledger and sales ledger processing
- Experience of Payroll Processing
- Good understanding of financial management
- Can work to strict deadlines
- IT skills: good knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft packages
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision but also as part of a team
- High standards of personal and professional integrity
