I am working with a fantastic special school located just outside of the historic town of **Taunton**. Their aim is to support pupils' growth through by providing a safe and supportive environment where learning becomes an enjoyable experience. In 2019, the school were the winners of the Positive Behaviour Support Award at the National Learning Disabilities and Autism Awards.

Students at the school will have **speech and language delay, impairments or disorder, along with Autistic Spectrum Conditions and/ or moderate and severe learning**. Your role of **teaching Assistant** will be a **support **to both students and tutors, ensuring their learning needs are met with a positive attitude. You must show confidence and be an excellent role model to pupils, in addition to being flexible to follow instructions from peers.

You will be working with students to enable them to discover their potential is a key part to working at this school. Outdoor learning, drama and music are some of the many lesson plans used here.

The hours of work will be **8:30 am - 4:30 pm, during term times**. You will be working with pupils in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, which is entry level for GCSE. This is a **full time role, **where you will have an opportunity to progress to a **permanent position** in the school if you can demonstrate to be an excellent addition to the team.
